Coyote Hill Mascot Newark, California was a bit of a backwater in the San Francisco
Bay Area, with none of the glamour of San Francisco to the north
or the buzz of Silicon Valley next door to the south. But what it
did have was good location, lots of available, affordable land, and a
willingness to help businesses to take advantage of it. And
what they needed was a way to reach the Bay Area business
community with this vital message.

This series of ads appeared in San Francisco Bay Area newspapers and business publications.

Each ad pointed to one of Newark’s advantages: land, location and a professional attitude from the city.

We summed up its strength with a simple but memorable theme: “Newark works.”
