Calistoga Beer & Sausage Fest

 The Chamber of Commerce of Calistoga put on an annual fund raiser with its Beer & Sausage Fest. But like a lot of small towns, it didn’t have a lot of money for promotion. What they needed was a means of making their event seem as important, as fun and as inviting as the bigger brew fests were. So each year I designed a new poster, also used as ads and mailers, like these three. And each year the attendance grew.

These posters were designed to appeal to the prime beer drinking market—young males. They also doubled as inexpensive post cards that could be mailed to those who inquired about Calistoga. Plus, they were distributed around town in the months before the Beer Fest.
